Vector Borne diseases

The living organisms that transfer infectious disease from an individual to other. These vectors borne organisms are mostly blood sucking insects that ingest disease producing microorganisms during their blood meal from the host and later inject the infected blood to the new host during the next blood meal. Mosquitoes, sand flies, ticks, fleas, black flies, aquatic snails, lice are some of the example of vector borne agents that spread diseases.
